First post here, and since I didn't see it in this Mac forum for MC, I figured I'd add a new post. I just switched over from FCP7 to MC5.5 and i was wondering if it was possible to install the software on more than one computer at a time. According to Apple's EULA, 'Apple allows you to install on the software on two computers as long as you own them both and one is a laptop and the other is a desktop.
Both computers cannot run the software on a network at the same time' I was wondering if this was the same rule for Avid as I usually edit on my iMac during the day and migrate to my laptop during the evening. If I didn't want to have to remember to deactivate the software everyday, do I have to buy an entire license for the other computer or is there some sort of discount for adding another computer to the existing license? Yeah, if you wanted the sofware active on two computers you need two licenses. If you've got more than one license of FCP (prior to FCPX) I think you could buy multiple licenses of Media Composer with the current upgrade discount offer, but you'd have to check with the Avid Store to find out for sure.
