Harris Teeter Vic Card Driver S License

I completed the application for a Harris Teeter VIC card minus giving my driver's license information. When I submitted my application, the cashier informed me she could not take the form without my drivers license information.

Close the Settings tab, reload this Yelp page, and try your search again. If you're still having trouble, check out. You can also search near a city, place, or address instead. Decided to drop by here last night at 9:30pm for a quick run for some goodies for me and a lady friend.

Guess I should have spot checked the checkout options first. I ended up having to put everything back. None of the self checkouts were open nor did the management think it was important to have cashiers, the line was way too long.

Why do we wait in line to spend our money, it shouldn't take more time to checkout than it does to shop. You can always tell a poorly managed retail location when you can get in but you can't get out. I like shopping here more than at Shoppers, which is closer to me, because everything is fresher.

However, there are some areas where HT could use serious improvements. #1 is the Deli counter. I dread shopping on the weekends because my husband loves his deli meat and getting served takes a minimum of 15 minutes. This Sunday they ran out of BOTH sale meats at 9AM on Sunday! Prime shopping day. (Sweet sliced ham / some turkey - both Boar's Head) and there was a big line and they still took 10 minutes to slice the first pound of meat. The second one, the deli guy just left and went somewhere in the middle of my order and didn't return for 5 minutes - no explanation.

I've worked at a major supermarket before and the deli people are sooo quick! So I don't know what's going on here. They need additional training and certainly some customer service classes. Most times I avoid the counter and buy the prepackaged meats. Though the prices are way more expensive than Trader Joes (my fave market), I can't justify driving that far for groceries, so I eat the larger bill.

For instance, a dozen large organic eggs are $3.99+ at HT, but $1.99 at TJ. A 2lb bag (small) of brussell sprouts is $7.99!!!! At HT, and $1.99 at TJ. Are they made of gold? They aren't even organic.

Harris Teeter does seem to have more employees in general, which means the lines are much shorter than Shoppers. HT does frequently run out of carts at the front of the store, which means slogging outside to get a cart sometimes. I would avoid the Starbucks in store - the wait is very long, they have one employee and the coffee always tastes 'burnt' for some reason. Maybe I will go back to shopping at Trader Joes. I am a fan of this location! The store is always clean, the produce options are consistently fresh and they offer a great variety of organic foods. Harris Teeter is a great addition to the Laurel area.

I am a bit of a snob when it comes to seafood, so I haven't tried the fresh seafood options yet. But I must admit that the selections look pretty good. I also have to compliment the pharmacy. The service of speedy and the pharmacists are always welcoming and have positive attitudes. I would absolutely recommend this location for grocery shopping in the area. Why oh why oh why does this location insist on stacking the produce on top of each other and soaking the produce so that so much of it has those fungal water spots on it or is just not purchasable/edible any more?

I always end up having the stacks fall when I merely try to select whatever produce I am selecting because of how they stack the produce. The self-checkout section also (floor near machines as well as machine areas) are often filthy. When this location first opened, most of the fruits and vegetables were fresh and edible, now I'm not sure what happened but other than on holidays such as Thanksgiving, much of their produce is not purchasable/edible. I'm talking about spotted rotten apples, citrus that is too mushy, lettuce and greens that is soaked with water and developing fungus or is too soggy.

I may have spoken too soon. (Never did that before.lol) Last few trips to HT have been disappointing: - No strawberries in the regular produce section, desperately needed them for a recipe so I sprang for the overpriced organic ones. After I'd finished shopping, checked out, and was on my way out the door, what do I see? The produce guy finally re-stocking the regular, much cheaper strawberries.

Speaking of produce, I'm getting a little tired of the sopping wet red leaf lettuce and other greens. What's up with that? - Hit up the butcher counter (no other customers there) and stood patiently while one counterperson industriously continued slicing meat and expertly avoided eye contact (he knew I was there), and the other chatted outside of the counter with a colleague (he also knew I was there). I was the only customer.until another lady strolled up and positioned herself closer to the dude slicing meat. He immediately went to serve her first.

Not wanting to be one of 'those' people who make a scene about the rudeness of both the counterpeople and the lady who arrived after me, I chose to purchase my meat from another store that day. Out of Stock Items I'd been buying regularly: pretzel rolls, take-and-bake bread, a specific tetra pack tomato sauce, and yes, that cheese, once again, nowhere to be found. Their cheese counter was decimated the last time I was in there. Leaves me to wonder if they're no longer carrying something, or just really, really suck at keeping items in stock and then actually re-stocking. EDIT: Huh, interesting.

Just went to check the reviews for the new HT that recently opened in Bethesda and saw similar comments about the apparent failure to manage re-stocking. Maybe a management level problem endemic to HT?

Nice grocery store, comparable to Kroger, little pricey if you dont use your rewards card (VIC Card), but great selection of fresh foods as well. Only a 4 star rating from me due to lack of open checkout stations. A few times weve been heading toward a checkout and they shut their light off and close the station off, im not sure if its manning or people just wanting their breaks but for as much as it happens, to me thats bad business. There should always be adequate checkout since thats how your making your money. Sometimes we go somewhere else if we know we need to get in and out with the kids, but Harris Teeter def has some high quality product.

This was our go to store, convenient location, pretty good selection as far as product, a bit costly but doable. However, today will be our last and final day shopping here.

I've notice the quality has gone way down since first opening, but this was the icing on the cake! On isle 3, which is the cereal isle what at first thought was a centipede, turned out to be a roach! Wondering the isle in broad day light. When I brought it to the managers attention he was very nonchalant, which leads me to believe this is more than likely an occurring nuisance.

I'm sure plenty of places I shop and dine at has roaches and only God knows what else. My motto is, out of sight, out of mind and since this was clear in sight, I will not ship there ever again! Harris Teeter is a big supermarket with same old-same old products (overpriced) and weird check out practices.

I was excited when they opened thinking that I would have a more luxurious place to shop. First of all they require that you give them your driver's license to get their discount card, how rude is that? The place is just OK.

Shopped there a few times and never returned. I do not miss it. It is not worth the hassle of getting the discount card which really is not a savings. PROS Neat and clean store Ample parking CONS Run of the mill products Nasty and weird employees Management is RUDE High prices Not enough selection in some areas. I came here to check out the 'new' grocery store.although we have 4 in a two mile strip. I came once and basically never left. There are such gems here.

Harris Teeter Vic Card Update

The produce section, where I spend most of my time, has a great selection with great prices, its always fresh, great veggie/organic frozen section. They have more section in the aisles as well, a great variety for gourmet cooking, healthy cooking ingredients, etc. I also like the beauty/convenience store area. The lines are normally short, and there is always staff to help with the self check-out lines.

I really like the HT brand as well. Tip.get the 5lb kale bag and the spinach fettuccine right by the sliding doors and whatever sauce you want. The recipe is on the back. I'll add a pic. Nice neighbor hood grocery store with a great selection of products and it's decorated beautifully which was the reason why it drew me in. When I first started shopping there I didn't buy any produce, I would get it from Walmart since it's a little cheaper.

E Vic Card Harris Teeter

Eventually I did start purchasing produce from Harris teeter because the market is much closer to my house and I'm not always in the mood to deal with the ghetto behavior at Walmart. Well apparently Harris teeter doesn't check the expiration dates on their perishables very often and more than a few times I brought home already expired food. I'm much more careful now and check everything I buy from there and now I do have to go back to Walmart because the items I buy are almost always expired or close to it. Now I rarely go there because I don't want to go and get disappointed, Harris teeter please get it together.
